The Trafalgar on King’s Road and the award-winning Always Be Comedy are proud to launch Chelsea’s first-ever Comedy Festival.
From 17th – 20th September, the first new pub to open on King’s Road in over a century will bring you four consecutive nights of top-tier comedians as part of the renowned Chelsea Arts Festival.
The wickedly talented Michelle De Swarte will headline Thursday’s show, supported by Jordan Brookes and Horatio Gould. Friday sees Big Tom Davis preview his Spudgun Tour, while Saturday brings a solo performance from Instagram legend George Lewis. The Sunday night finale will feature the amazing Sarah Keyworth.
Since opening in October 2025, The Trafalgar has fast become a hub of live entertainment, including live music, cabaret nights, open mic evenings, pub quizzes as well as a regular Thursday night stand-up show courtesy of Always Be Comedy. They are honoured to be chosen as an official partner of The Chelsea Arts Festival.
Now in its second year, The Chelsea Arts Festival is a celebratory weekend of arts and culture, bustling food markets, incredible talks, live performances, and outdoor entertainment. This year’s inspiration is the 50th anniversary of the explosion of punk on the King’s Road, making the introduction of a comedy arm feel especially fitting.
Tom Peake, co-founder of Three Cheers Pub Co said: “Comedy has always been a core part of the live entertainment scene at The Trafalgar. We are delighted that Chelsea loves stand-up as much as we do. We might be biased, but Always Be Comedy is the best comedy club in London, bar none, so we know that this will be the first of many Chelsea Comedy Festivals to come.”

It would be fantastic if Always Be Comedy could be added to that illustrious list.”

All Chelsea Comedy Festival shows are held in The Trafalgar’s Havannah Room. Doors open at 7.45 pm, shows start at 8pm. Tickets cost from £13 plus booking fee and can be purchased here.
Comedy goers are encouraged to make a night of it and enjoy dinner and drinks before or after the show. The Trafalgar’s popular menus showcase elevated pub classics. The cheese and ham toastie has to be tried. The scotch egg with coronation mayonnaise is a must as are Wright Brothers oysters. Standout starters include the Irish oxtail and black truffle croquettes with Bovril mayonnaise. For mains, crispy pork belly with apple compote, Chateaubriand or the catch of the day with caper beurre noisette are sure to catch the eye, while elderflower posset or sticky toffee pudding round things off perfectly.

The Trafalgar officially opened on 21st October 2025. A former bank, the Grade II listed building was originally designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield, responsible for Chequers. The impressive Georgian site was transformed by Three Cheers Co, to create the first new pub on King’s Road in over a century.
