The Abbeville pub on Abbeville Road, Clapham, is delighted to be taking part in the second Car-Free Day on Saturday, 20th September 2025.
Following the success of the first event in May, Lambeth Council’s Big Shift programme is back, bringing communities together to create a safer, more accessible and vibrant space on Abbeville Road in Clapham. The car-free day will officially run from 11am – 4pm, with many businesses carrying on the fun for all the family throughout the day.
Proudly positioned at the heart of the Abbeville Road activities, The Abbeville pub will host an alfresco bar with ice-cold Jubel beer, Aperol or Hugo Spritz, hot sausage rolls and pulled pork and chicken sliders. Their terrace area will be extended with extra tables and chairs, brunch will be served from 10am, and their delicious lunch and dinner dishes, including burrata bowls, double stacked burgers and sticky toffee puddings, will ensure you have everything you need for a September Saturday.
Other fun community activities include bubble and circus performers, live jazz, cycle-powered entertainment, a Bike Market where you can buy and second second-hand bikes, Dr Bike, who can help you fix your bike plus a host family family-friendly games. The Abbeville’s fresh and fast kids’ menu will be available whenever you need to replenish energy levels after a hard day of playing.
