Banana Cabaret is proud to announce their ninth critically acclaimed Balham Comedy Festival at the iconic Bedford in Balham from Friday 9th – Sunday 18th July.
Elated to be back on the live comedy circuit, top comedians on the bill include the likes of Jen Brister, Marcus Brigstocke, Janey Godley, Dane Baptiste, Rich Hall and Henning Wehn who will all perform long awaited solo shows, plus the ever-popular Best of Banana Cabaret nights, featuring Ed Byrne, Maisie Adam, Kae Kurd and others, including a special guest on the opening night. The brilliant Rhod Gilbert will bring the festival to a fine close with his full tour show.
Buoyed by their sellout stand-up shows at The Bedford since restrictions were eased, Banana Cabaret, the longest running UK comedy club in its original venue, were adamant covid couldn’t stop comedy any longer.
Festival organiser, Banana Cabaret’s Dave Vickers said: “We’ve been at The Bedford for 38 years. Stand up is our lives and our livelihood. We didn’t want to miss a moment more. Londoners deserve a serious dose of comedy after the last year and we can’t wait to give it to them!”
Twenty four comedians will perform over nine nights* with shows to satisfy all comic tastes. Comedy goers are also strongly encouraged to make a night of it and enjoy dinner and drinks in The Bedford’s iconic Club Room which has previously hosted top music as and comedy performances from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Jorja Smith, Eddie Izzard and Jack Whitehall. There are even 15 luxury hotel rooms should comedy fans wish to stay the entire evening.
Balham Comedy Festival tickets can be purchased from balhamcomedyfestival.com. Prices start at just £10 plus booking fee. Please note show times and prices do vary. All purchases are in line with the latest covid regulations and booking in advance is highly recommended.
