Summer is almost upon us. Elderflower bushes will soon be blooming in the hedgerows and the Chelsea Flower Show will be bringing all things horticultural to London from 23rd to 27th May.
In celebration, The Latchmere have handcrafted a delicious floral cocktail called ‘Gin Bliss, made with William’s Chase Gin, infused with botanicals including elderflower and orange, shaken together with St Germain elderflower liqueur, an aperitif created with handpicked elderflower blossom.
The Gin Bliss will be on The Latchmere’s cocktail list from 23rd May. If you fancy trying it out at home, here is the recipe:
Ingredients:
35ml William’s Chase Gin
15ml St Germain elderflower liqueur
1 teaspoon orange marmalade
Half freshly squeezed lemon
Topped up with a sparkling wine of your choice (prosecco, for example)
Garnish of your choice (a lemon slice, sprig of mint or a pretty flower)
Method:
Pour all the ingredients except for the sparkling wine into a Boston glass and shake well.
Once shaken, pour into a champagne coupe or long glass and top up with the sparkling wine.
Decorate with your garnish of choice (if it’s a flower, avoid the poisonous ones…).
