At Three Cheers Pub Co we are passionate about International Women’s Day. We are big on celebrating women’s achievements and calling for a more gender-balanced world.
EAT FOR CHANGE
So much so, we are donating 50p from every meal* sold on International Women’s Day, Friday 8th March, to the amazing international girls’ education charity, the Malala Fund.
Set up by Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala Yousafzai, the Malala Fund champions the right for every girl to receive 12 years of free, safe and quality education. There are currently 130 million girls out of school. They work to break down the barriers that hold girls back. Their mission is to give every girl the chance to learn and lead.
ALL FEMALE STAND-UP COMEDY GIG
In honour of International Women’s Day, The Bedford in Balham is also hosting an all-female Banana Cabaret stand-up comedy special in aid of the Malala Fund.
On Friday 8th March, the iconic Club Room, which has previously played host to great female musicians including Ellie Goulding and Jorja Smith, will present some of the country’s best female comedians including the brilliant Mary Bourke, the hilarious Tania Edwards, the brazen Joanne McNally and the intensely funny Jessica Fostekew.
Tickets are priced at £14 and £2 from every ticket sold will be donated to the charity. Doors open at 7pm with the gig starting at 9pm. To book your ticket please click here.
For great food, guaranteed laughs and good work head to Three Cheers pubs this International Women’s Day.
