Craft beer and sport are two of our favourite things.
To celebrate, and to give some of us a little boost after that recent football fail, The Rosendale in West Dulwich have decided to host a Craft Beer Festival & Pub Olympics on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th July.
Finish early at work and join us from Friday at 4pm where you’ll have a chance to enjoy over ten beers, from top local breweries such as The London Beer Factory, The Meantime Brewing Company, Moor Brewing Company, Brixton Brewery and Gipsy Hill Brewery, meet the brewers and partake in a little Pub Olympics practice or warm up (if you’re a professional, like).
The Games will commence at 12pm on Saturday and will run throughout the day. Partake in table tennis (where you must be in a team of two), table football (again grab a mate), pentanque (find a team), darts (fly solo) and age-old quoits (which for the uninitiated is throwing a ring over a spike, you’ve seen it before, promise). Prizes will be won. Extra beer may well be involved.
All good athletes require fuel which will come in the form of The Rosendale’s artisan pizza, think chorizo with goat’s cheese and tomato or smoked salmon with mascarpone, spring onion and chilli as well as their delicious rotisserie chicken with an assortment of sides.
Adult tickets cost just £5 per day and as part of your ticket you will receive three and half free pints of beer. In real terms this means you’ll enjoy more than two pints for FREE. Tickets can be purchased in advance from the pub or on the day on the door. To enter a team for any of the sports this will cost an additional £1.
