It’s fete, we’re supposed to be together

You, us, The Abbeville Fete, this weekend, Saturday 25th June, say no more.

From 12 noon, Clapham’s best family friendly fete kicks off and The Abbeville pub is yet again at the epicentre. We will have a pop up Peroni and Pimm’s bar and a banging bbq that will specialise in serving spectacular stacked burgers. Think halloumi and mushroom with harissa mayo or Cajun chicken, eaten outside in the sunshine, washed down with a cold beer or cocktail. Live music, over 80 stalls, a dog show and a fancy dress parade, make this a picture perfect day. Join us.

Sunday 10th July sees The Bolingbroke get its share of fete. The Northcote Road Fete, one of London’s loveliest summer celebrations starts at 11am. Head to The Bolingbroke for the cheapest jugs of Pimm’s* on the entire road, guaranteed, plus an alfresco grill serving the finest Tom Hixson sausages. Think lamb and mint as well as chicken, both served on fluffy focaccia with grilled onions. We will also be serving old skool Sunday lunch inside with the Wimbledon men’s final on the tele box so you don’t miss a minute of the action. The bar will be open until 10.30pm, so settle in for a full day of fun.

Three cheers for summer fetes – so peculiarly English you can’t help but love ‘em.
