The Avalon Cask Ale Festival – 28 & 29 Sept

Don’t miss our Avalon Cask Ale Festival this September!

The Avalon’s beer garden will be brimming with a variety of the UK’s finest real ales on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th September.

Between 12 midday and 6 pm beer lovers will get the chance to taste a wonderful array of cask ales and beers from around the UK all offered at reduced prices for one weekend only.

Taking centre stage is Renaissance Pubs’ new London TEN Ale created by owners Tom Peake, Nick Fox and Mark Reynolds in celebration of the group’s 10th anniversary. London TEN is a golden amber ale, crafted from a unique blend of British barley and British hops.

Working closely with Sambrook’s Brewery of Battersea, Tom, Mark and Nick have selected a recently re-discovered hop, found growing in a hedge in an established hop garden in Kent, to form the basis of their ale. This gentle, floral aroma hop has been named Renaissance.

Other highlight ales on offer will include a selection from Timothy Taylor, Ramsgate’s Green Hop Beer brewed with hops straight from the fields and some new ales from hipster haven London Fields in Hackney – made by the brand new Five Points Brewing.

Ales will be offered at reduced prices of just £1.50 per half pint and £3 for a pint during the festival only. Those with real commitment can buy books of tokens (£20 for 10 pints or 20 half pints) – allowing a variety of ales to be sampled at a further reduced cost.

To ensure nobody goes hungry, fabulous Avalon beef burgers and hot dogs made with pork from Locks Drove Farm (in which Renaissance Pubs are partners) will be on offer in the garden alongside September’s menu of beer paired bar bites.

Plus we have guest speakers on hand to answer all your beer-related questions along with competitions and giveaways.

Don’t miss it!
